Type XXI 3813

For this year’s Only Watch charity auction, Breguet has created a unique Type XXI chronograph, made for the very first time in platinum.

The first Type XX models were developed to order for the French Military, worn by its air force and navy from 1954 through the 1970’s. Breguet produced a contemporary version years later, after becoming a cult object sought after by aviators and collectors alike. This Only Watch 2015 Type XXI 3813, fitted with a mechanical self-winding movement, has a special flyback function, originally seen on the 1950s model. Measuring 42mm in diameter, this platinum timepiece has a 45-hour power reserve, day/night indicator at 3 o'clock, 12-hour counter and date aperture at 6 o’clock, and small seconds at 9 o’clock.

The matte, slate grey dial compliments the large luminous hour-markers and hands, completed with the brown aged calfskin leather strap. The winner will receive an exclusive presentation box, accompanied by a "unique piece" certificate. This watch will be sold during the Only Watch charity auction in Geneva on 7 November 2015, with all funds raised benefitting research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
