TAG Heuer debuted an interesting retro chronograph at Baselworld 2015, called the Carrera Calibre 18. Largely inspired by a historic "Heuer" model designed by Jack Heuer in the 1950s, it is sure to appeal to those looking for vintage styling in a modern timepiece.

TAG Heuer showcased its superb heritage with the equally smart Calibre 18 Telemeter – a throwback to the classic Carrera models that offers the wearer an entirely different type of connection. 

I’m not going to front like I know all about vintage Heuer chronographs and tell you what a great tribute this is, because I honestly don’t know all that much about (TAG) Heuer and its heritage. So in essence, this is a review by a watch-lover who appreciates retro styling, without knowing or caring how accurate of a re-edition it is. 

TAG Heuer’s 39-mm Carrera Calibre 18 goes one step further within the Vintage movement of the last few years. Honestly, you'd think this watch came from new old stock.
